Convict (2014): This Movie Should Be Locked Up Forever

I am into prison movies and TV shows. Always have been and probably always will be. So when I came across Convict on Amazon Prime Video and read the synopsis

A military man returns to Australia after a tour in Afghanistan only to end up in prison after defending his girlfriend from two guys making rude gestures at her.

I thought I was in for another good prison movie. Heck, I loved Shot Caller, and Brawl in Cell Block 99, and currently, I do a YouTube recap and review of Wentworth an Australian prison TV drama reimaged from Prisoner Cell Block Has well as other movie reviews and book reviews.

But this movie, let me tell you, this movie is excruciating to watch, from the horrible acting by all those involved, especially the lead George Basha, down to the other convicts and extras in the movie except for Richard Green, who played David, a convict who had been locked up for 15 years.

The cost to make the movie was $3,000,000.00, which makes it a low budget film. I’m guessing they saved money on the acting by getting low rent actors. Below is my YouTube review of the movie.

This awful movie is currently streaming on Amazon Prime.
